Enabling seconds in System Tray in Windows 10

Hey all –

Quickie for today.  I had a thought that my life would be easier if I enabled seconds on my system tray under Windows 10.  So, how’d I do it?  Exceptionally easy!!

Launch regedit.exe – regedit /v

Navigate to the following location:  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Add the following key if it doesn’t exist:  ShowSecondsInSystemClock
Make it a ‘REG_DWORD’ even if you’ve got a 64-bit installation of Windows 10.

Set the value to 1.

Exit regedit.

Poof!!  That easy and pretty handy for me at least – I really like it.

Sir Charles
